Affordable Health Care – Is it Really Affordable?

Announced the new Obama Care Law as Affordable Health Care Act of hype these days. The bill is not yet been passed, the Supreme Court will make a decision in June, but how it will play will be great for some or hinder many others with a load in the next two years.

There are of course pros and cons to this bill. The plus points: prevention, free wellness visits to doctors, insurance companies can not deny coverage of pre-existing conditions, putting caps on deductibles, and the lower the income, the lower the cap. Sounds good so far. Let's look at the disadvantages: lack of doctors, the equipment does not meet demand, the dreaded fine that everyone is worried about. That is correct. A fine of $ 695/year will be if you do not have health insurance (if the deed was done).

The new health care law can go in both directions. People living in poverty is not able to do much if they can not afford, and it seems a bit unfair for them to pay the fine to if they do not do anything about it was in the first place. I had a month ago, as young adults aged 18-26 were without health care, and some are mentioned now parents Healthcare adopted because of the law in the years 2008-2009. Those who can not afford health care for their parents not to save it on their own and either take the money plans, the government, to deprive them of it by fining them for failing to obtain insurance. The young adults who live on their own, have to take care of other tasks too, such as housing, food, gas, etc, without to take care of paying the fine worries.

Overall, the government is not taking into account the poor and the elderly in this whole Affordable Care Act. Those who have much to lose with this new legislation, those who are unemployed (currently 8.2 percent), living in poverty and the elderly. I wonder if Obama is trying to happen, just to get a second term. Would not be surprised if that were the case. After all, the government has not thought about the people in a long time. It's all about "What's in it for me?"
